Actress Sujata Kumar passed away on August 19, 2018 after battling with stage 4 Metastatic Cancer. Sujata's sister and actor-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, tweeted about the sad demise of her sister. She tweeted:
"Our beloved Sujata Kumar has passed away and moved on to a better place leaving us with an unimaginable void. She left us an hour ago at 11.26 pm on the 19th of August 2018….Life can never be the same again. "
Sujata was seen in 2012 film "English Vinglish" sharing screen space with actress Sridevi as her elder sister. She also played an important character role of Mrs. Khan, mother of Squadron Leader Iman Khan (Satyadeep Mishra aka instasattu on Instagram), in P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke, an Indian political thriller television series.
A couple of months ago, she was also invited for a Tedx Talk where she spoke on how to filter emotional pollutants from one’s life. She shared her difficult life journey of growing up in a broken family, her divorce, her ugly episode of sexual harassment as a youngster and her cancer battle.
